History and Philosophy of OPI Incorporated

OPI Incorporated was founded in 1950, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.   The main revenue of the company, in its early years, was earned from applying coatings of no-stick Teflon® to small quantity simple jobs.   The initial jobs were seal bars for automated packaging equipment, folding guides for tissue paper machinery, and cookie dies for the food processing industry.   In 1960, OPI Incorporated was awarded, by the DuPont(TM) Company, the Licensed Industrial Applicator (LIA) status and is today recognized for its commitment to the fluoropolymer coatings market.

Today, OPI Incorporated employs about 20 full-time people in its plant and offices.   Being a specialized physical and consulting services business for applying coatings of fluoropolymer no-stick, low-friction Teflon®, Silverstone Xtra® and other premium no-stick, low friction finishes.   OPI Inc also offers zero defect quality and is currently implementing (ISO 9002) quality assurance.

Recently, OPI Incorporated is involved in many projects that support the aerospace, potable water, food processing, medical, and packaging industry markets.   Offering consulting services to evaluate the appropriate application process and to select the correct coating material for your end-use.   After the fluoropolymer application process and material are selected, OPI offers the physical service of custom & volume application to your metal parts.   OPI is a world class organization that welcomes new challenges to improve your special design.   Remember, your next idea may begin with a great finish.
